Vicki,
I read here that you have my ancestor Timothy Barnard listed as George Washington’s body guard. I wonder where that information is documented. In our family history there is information to indicate that he was a currier for GW, that he carried script to Valley Forge to pay the troops and was a personal friend of Marqui de Lafayett so the idea that he was a body guard for GW is not unreasonable but I had not heard that before.

Hi James,
Our Pittsford Town Historian, Audrey Johnson, spoke about Timothy Barnard at our recent tour of Pittsford Cemetery. I do not know where she discovered that Timothy Barnard was George Washington’s bodyguard, but I will forward your email on to her. I’m sure she would love to exchange notes about your illustrious ancestor!
Best wishes,
Vicki
